my Dove in the Window

Knowing my calling

I've worked hard over 40 years to manifest and do the inner work of being an artist. My studio is open to any visitor - a place where, hopefully, creativity, thought and beauty are indeed manifest. The evolution of my art, both inner and outer, has been a path that is truly "the road less travelled". My way of working is only now becoming familiar to me. As images evolve, I am sometimes a spectator, sometimes an unwilling source....but always, what comes is a wonderful surprise....a gift....

The nude

The nude is the springboard of my image.

NeedlePoint

Color and texture of the thread, the working of line and design as I go, all of it makes the time necessary for these designs a creative, restful experience.

I began as a sculptor.

Loving the clay, and stone, and wood - having discovered polymer clay, the beautiful, tactile and organic look of the completed pieces is unique and very attractive.

Online Catalogs
You can use your site to display products or services, even if you're not Amazon.com. Whether you have less than a dozen products or services, or hundreds, a catalog can effectively convey whatever information you want visitors to have.

Web catalogs don't necessarily have to be instantly updated the moment you make a sale at your location. For example, if your service or product line only changes on a monthly or a seasonal basis, you may not need to update your web catalog any more frequently. Web catalogs aren't limited to the private sector: nonprofit organizations that deal with a wide variety of programs or services, also benefit.

E-Commerce Sites

E-commerce usually combines two main technology-sets, in conjunction with some form of catalog:

Dynamic Data
Dynamic web sites are supported by database technology. This enables the visitor's view of your site to be updated or tailored, depending on the visitor's computer or web browser platform, or using information gathered from the visitor. Common examples of dynamic sites include your favorite web search engine site, job listing sites, news-related sites, and dynamic catalogs.

These types of web solutions are significantly more complex than the ones described previously. Dynamic solutions require not only the preparation of web pages that display on your website, but also the creation of data structures to contain information, and programming to tie the information with your web pages.

Secure Commerce Sites
Secure web sites are also dynamic; both are best described as web applications. Secure sites add protection for sensitive data such as credit card and other payment information being processed online. Secure sites may also control access to some or all of those sites that are based on membership or other eligibility criteria. Passwords or other forms of personal information are used to verify and allow access.

As the most complex site solution, secure commerce sites can be built by adding security to the dynamic sites described above. In addition, other solutions are available: many software vendors offer prepackaged "shopping carts" that can be installed for online sales.

A 'bit' more to this stuff, than meets the eye.
